October Newsletter : Phyx. Updates
Blog

Welcome to the October 2022 Edition of our newsletter where we will share updates, tips and Phyx. stories.

Zee & Brodie

A huge congratulations to Zee & Brodie on their engagement. What a gorgeous couple! & what a party! 💃

We were all so chuffed to be able to celebrate their special day with them!

Studio Update

The studio is almost ready to roll! As of October 31st, you will head over to Shop 5, which is 3 doors down for your classes.

Note that this is only for classes. All physio appointments will stay in our current location.

We are waiting on our joinery but didn’t want to hold up the move, so a little heads up on the odd chairs and desk for a couple weeks. Reminds me of the old days where we opened with an ikea desk, 4 chairs from grandma and a treatment table🤣

New Classes Alert

With the warmer weather and longer days, our timetable always shifts a little to accommodate more class times.

☀️We are now running 815am Open Pilates classes Tuesdays and Fridays.

Morning classes are choccas, so be sure to book yourself online to reserve your spot.

Check out the full timetable here.

Are You Suffering With Headaches?

Are you suffering with headaches?

There are a number of different types and causes of headaches. It’s important to classify your headache accurately to be able to provide the correct treatment and where required, imaging and further investigation.

Physiotherapy treatment will help determine the exact cause of your headaches and if they don’t think they are cervicogenic and treatable with physio, they will point you in the right direction (usually off to your GP).

Read about the different types of headaches and treatment here.

So, You’ve Ruptured Your Achilles Tendon…

We’ve had the lovely Abbey rupture her achilles tendon the week she started her Pilates training with us. After seeing her hobbling around for quite some time, we’ve had some questions and general interest in this uncommon injury, and of course, what you can do to prevent it.

Here is a good overview of what an achilles rupture is and what the rehab process involves – read here
